The School Feeding Program is dedicated to ensuring that children in rural Uganda have access to nutritious meals that support their health, education, and overall development. Through partnerships with schools and communities, we provide daily meals, nutrition support, and sustainable food solutions that help children stay in school and learn effectively.
Malnutrition and hunger remain some of the greatest barriers to children’s education and development in rural Uganda. Many children attend school without having eaten and may go the entire day without another meal. Hunger affects their ability to concentrate, reduces school attendance, and limits their ability to benefit from education.
For young children under five, poor nutrition during the early stages of life can cause lasting effects on brain development and growth. By the time they begin primary school, many children are already facing disadvantages caused by inadequate nutrition. Addressing hunger is therefore essential to creating an environment where children can learn, grow, and reach their full potential.
Through the School Feeding Program, we aim to create lasting improvements in child nutrition and education outcomes. Our targets include:
The program primarily supports children aged 0 to 12 years, covering early childhood and primary school ages when nutrition has the greatest impact on physical growth, brain development, and learning.
We focus on:
The School Feeding Program provides daily nutritious meals to children in partner schools, ensuring they have the energy and focus needed to participate in learning. We work with schools to develop sustainable feeding systems, source food locally where possible, and train school staff in food preparation and nutrition practices.
Beyond providing meals, we conduct regular malnutrition screenings to identify children who require additional support. Children and families needing further assistance are connected with appropriate health and nutrition services.
We also support school kitchen gardens that teach children and communities how to grow nutritious food sustainably. These gardens promote food security while providing practical lessons on healthy eating and local food production.
Daily Nutritious Meals
We provide regular breakfast and lunch meals at partner schools, ensuring children have reliable access to food throughout the school day.

Real Results, Real Change
Through our comprehensive approach, the School Feeding Program is creating measurable improvements in children’s health, school attendance, and learning outcomes.
Every contribution to the School Feeding Program helps provide meals to children who would otherwise go hungry. Whether supporting a single meal, a week of meals, or a full school term, your support creates an immediate and meaningful impact on a child’s health, education, and future.
